Sacred City (2010-2011)
Sacred City was a collaborative project between five members of the Reality Research Center and five Japanese artists. The idea was to investigate people’s individual experiences of the sacred in two distinct contemporary urban environments. The project was realized in the form of two two-week long workshops in Helsinki and Yokohama. Each workshop resulted in a series of participatory performances, where the performers shared their personal experiences of the sacred with the audience.
