Choreographing Reality (2012)
In this workshop, we look at everyday life from a utopian point of view and approach choreography as a tool for applying these perspectives into the reality we live in. We take the surrounding society as our site and develop methods for both analyzing and choreographing the social and political structures that the society consists of, as well as the habits and conventions that govern our private lives. We work in small teams, each of which will focus on a specific site and come up with utopian suggestions for it. The proposals result in a series of choreographic tools, which are tested and developed further in practice. Each team introduces their final proposal to the rest of the group, after which the choreographies are performed by everyone involved.
